Fujifilm GFX 50S was released in 2016. This camera is the first mirrorless camera with a medium format sensor at that time. A medium format camera is a camera that uses a larger sensor than a full frame camera sensor. Like Fuji mirrorless cameras in general, the GFX 50S is equipped with advanced and superior features.
Even the features are not inferior to the latest Fuji series cameras. One of them, the camera is equipped with a large sensor. Thus, imaging capabilities are not in doubt. The device has a rangefinder-style design that is rectangular in shape while the GFX 50S has a DSLR-style camera design. Compared to the previous Fuji mirroless, the GFX 50S camera has a lighter, more compact body.
Fujifilm GFX 50S Camera Body
This mirrorless one has a rangefinder style design. This device has the shape and design like a DSLR camera. This is different from mirrorless in general which is elongated square.
However, despite having a shape and design like a DSLR, the GFX 50S has a body that is more compact and lighter. the device weighs only 1.23 kilograms (with a lens). If not with the lens, the GFX 50s instead weighs only 800 grams.
The body is made of magnesium alloy and the camera dial wheel is made of aluminum. This is what causes this lightweight mirrorless one. GFX 50S has a strong seal so it is waterproof and cold weather up to -10 degrees Celsius.
Although the size of the camera is large, the size of the camera buttons is only slightly larger than the buttons on the Fuji X series camera, so the proportion seems to feel rather small. Although it is very light, Fujifilm does not forget the comfortable grip. The grip for the camera is a little small.
Fujifilm GFX 50S is also equipped with an electronic viewfinder. The 3.69m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder can be used for high-resolution eye displays, and can be paired with an optional tilt adapter to allow work with searchers from various work angles.
